Moto Goodness

GOODNESS-as defined by the Random House Dictionary: excellence of quality; goodness of workmanship; the best of anything; essence; strength. To be forthright, it's only been in recent years that this obsession of "MOTO" has truly manifest, but the love is genuine. Motorbikes, Aeroplanes, Automobiles and all that is designed, built and driven to perform is appreciated.

Star Trek & Sci Fi

STAR TREK (The Original Series) was the beginning of a life-long, love of Science Fiction and Science Fact and all other things of a Fantastic Nature. Whether it was Comic Books, Live-Action Television, Motion Pictures or Animated Cartoons, the media did not matter, as long as it was a means to transverse space and time ... or alter reality.

Hammer of the Gods

THE HAMMER OF THE GODS A metaphor for music, how it can forge, shape and mold our lives. A means to transport and transform. I'm not a musical scholar or theorist. Simply, someone who has played and listened to quite a bit of music.  Just a bloke who knows what he likes and dislikes. Also, I'm a bass player, so expect a lot of attention paid to the bottom end!

Baby Maintenance

Took advantage of some fair weather and did a bit of maintenance on Baby. Not that she has been running poorly, but there was a slight "ticking" emitting from the right hand side of the engine and it had been awhile since any sort of maintenance had been performed on her and I've been riding her daily for a couple of months now.

As expected, cylinder #4  exhaust valve was grossly out of spec and need to be adjusted accordingly. Cylinders #1 & #3 were slightly out of spec and amazingly cylinder #2 was dead on spec, needing no adjustment at all. Also took a gander at the points and adjusted point gaps as needed.

Guy Martin & Closer To The Edge

TT3D: Closer To The Edge is a British made film documenting the 2010 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy motorcycle race. Guy Martin is the central character of the film, and a colorful and controversial character he is. His personality off the bike is just as hell bent for leather as his racing style, a very likable chap who you can't help but want  win!

Shot in high definition 3D, it was released theatrically in 2011 and the DVD released in 2012, throughout the UK. To my knowledge, it has yet to be released domestically in the US. The other night while watching various bits of footage of the Isle of Man races on YouTube, I came across a full length video of the movie. Treat yourself and watch it, it's fantastic! Closer To The Edge Full Movie.

Ducati Pantah 650

Oddly enough, I came across the above image in a search for a certain Moto Guzzi. Clearly, this is not a Guzzi, but it is a Italian made machine and it is definitely one bad-ass Ducati! Bare boned, sleek, stripped down for speed, pure in it's simplicity!  I absolutely love this bike!

It took quite of bit of web-net jiggery pokery to find some info on this bike, but I came across a great story. The translation is a bit sketchy, but you get the sum of the parts. By no means an identical situation, I can still empathize with the dude in many ways. More info can be found here, but I can't guarantee a translation.
